Bukotermal Ltd.

The company Bukotermal Ltd. was established with the aim of exploration and exploiting geothermal water for the production of electrical and thermal energy (heating greenhouses for cultivation of flowers, fruits, vegetables, etc.) in the area of Varaždin County and the northern part of continental Croatia. After completing the exploration phase in October of the previous year, the exploitation phase began, with the estimated cost of constructing a 16 MW geothermal power plant being €60-70 million.

GEOTHERMAL FIELD LUNJKOVEC–KUTNJAK

Exploration of the Lunjkovec–Kutnjak geothermal field has confirmed a large reservoir of geothermal water with excellent potential for the construction of a geothermal power plant. The project is currently in the exploitation preparation phase. In 2025, the signing of the Exploitation Agreement, trial exploitation, and the design of a new well, one of several planned in the series are expected.
