Bukotermal Ltd. Obtains Exploitation Field Approval for the Lunjkovec-Kutnjak Geothermal Water Exploitation Field

The company Bukotermal Ltd., owned by Varaždin County (85%) and the Municipality of Mali Bukovec (15%), has successfully completed its exploration after three years. This work, assigned to the company in 2020 following a public tender by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, has culminated in obtaining Exploitation field approval for the Lunjkovec-Kutnjak geothermal water exploitation field from the competent Ministry. This marks a significant and invaluable achievement for the publicly-owned company, which has managed to secure all necessary permits in record time. It conducted hydrodynamic testing of two existing wells (Lun-1 and Kt-1), completed workovers of both wells, and obtained two critical approvals: one for the exploitation field and another for determining the quantity and quality of reserves.
